| The first PADI Professional level course. Develop your dive skills to
Instructor standard, increase your knowledge of dive theory, learn to assist in teaching
courses, supervise certified divers, seamanship, and have heaps of fun doing
it. Hard work, but incredibly rewarding!!!! The course typically consists of a number of evenings theory (8 exams) and an
internship, developing Divemaster level skills exposed to real diving students
(under the watchful eye of experienced diving instructors)-
- Number of evenings going over theory, knowledge reviews and watching
videos etc.
- 8 examinations (75% pass score + mastery requirement).
- Watermanship assessment (timed swim tests, stress test, problem solving
ability, unconscious diver rescue to instructor standard etc).
- 2 days learning and putting new skills into practice.
- Realistic emergency scenarios.
- DM conducted programs.
- Mapping Exercise.
Successful completion requires:-
A. Required Training Exercises.
- Problem Solving Exercise (Stress Test).
- Divemaster Conducted Programs Role-Play Exercise.
- Mapping Project.
B. Practical Training Exercises.
- Certified Divers in Open Water.
- Open Water Dive Students in Confined Water.
- Open Water Dive Students in Open Water.
- Continuing Education Divers in Open Water.
C. Internship.
- One PADI Open Water Course Confined Water Dive.
- Four Additional Confined Water Dives from any PADI Course or
Program.
- One PADI Open Water Course Open Water Training Dive.
- One PADI Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, or Specialty Diver Course
Open Water Dive.
- Four additional Open Water Training Dives From Any PADI Course or
program.
- One supervisory situation with certified divers not in a formal course.
You are required to complete Part A, and EITHER Part B or Part
C.
As a Dolphin Dive bonus, we add the following to the divemaster
