Explore history, see the marine wildlife at the 'oasis' that a wreck
provides, explore the inside as well as the outside!!! Learn about the
laws and protocols of wreck diving, how to assess a wreck for hazards, how to
map a wreck, what's involved in safely penetrating a ship or aircraft
wreck. Then do it!!
The course consists of 4 dives (2 days on HMAS Swan wreck) and an evening of
theory :-
- 1 evening Academics.
- 1 dive assessing the wreck's condition and suitability for penetration.
- 1 dive mapping a portion of the wreck.
- 1 dive doing a 'mock' (external) penetration of the wreck, without going
inside.
- 1 dive doing a real wreck penetration. (Note penetration not
compulsory, dive 3 can be repeated to pass).
The course includes:-
- PADI Five Star Gold Card Certification.
- The Wreck Diving Manual yours to keep.
- Loan of wreck reel / torch (please supply batteries) etc.
- All air fills (Enriched Air extra), gear rental, boat fees, and certification costs covered by us -
no hidden extras!!!
- Boat trips and accommodation at HMAS Swan (HMAS Perth extra).
- Personal instruction in small groups.
- All transport to and from the training centre, shop and dive sites
provided.
All this for only A$599 (HMAS Swan).

Availability:-
- Wreck Diver Specialty Courses are run on demand.
- Shift workers, and those with specific work rosters etc. please contact
the store, we can always accommodate your shift patterns.

Prerequisites:-
- Be 15 years of age.
- Be a certified Advanced Open Water or
equivalent.
- Have at least 9 dives logged.
- Have a valid Australian Standard AS4005.1 Diving Medical (contact
the store or click on Diving Physicians)
within the previous 12 months.
- Bring two passport photos (Contact the store
for details of special photography service)
- Be ready to go down for longer!!!!
